Buhari makes a new appointment in 2020.
President Buhari approved the restoration of the board of directors of the Corporate Affairs Committee (CAC) and appointed Ademola Seriki as chairman of the board as of January 7.
Seriki, a resident of Lagos, served as Minister of the Interior under the government of Jonathan.
The development was contained in a statement Thursday evening by Ibrahim Haruna, deputy press director of the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investments.
He noted that Minister Adeniyi Adebayo announced by presenting the letter of appointment to Garba Abubakar’s new Secretary-General.
According to the statement, the minister said that the reconstruction of the council had endangered the leadership conflict with which the CAC was confronted.
He urged all directors and committee officials to give the new Secretary-General maximum support and cooperation to help the committee move forward.
Also, when congratulating the new Secretary-General, Minister of State Mariam Katagum appreciated the former GA. General Secretary Hajiya Saratu Shafi’i while acting.
Gwarzo, while he presented the letter of thanks to the former AG. Secretary-General Hajiya Hasaratu Shafi’i, for his role in his ability to act, also commended the commission officials for their cooperation.
In response, Abubakar promised his continued support and loyalty to the government of Buhari.
He promised to be fair to everyone and to make the committee a world-class institution.
“We promise to fulfill the confidence that the government has placed in us,” says the new R-G.
Garba, a resident of the state of Bauchi, is a lawyer by profession, studied at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and was summoned to testify in 1989. He joined the committee 15 years ago and held the position of Compliance Officer.
