Barca has suffered their second away loss of the season, slumping to a dismal 2-0 defeat at Granada that highlighted their numerous issues of the club.

Barcelona had Lionel Messi back within their ranks for the first time in La Liga this season on Saturday’s night. But it made little difference.

The Barca side has problems that that even the captain can’t resolve at the moment.

The worrying thing about this abject 2-0 defeat to Granada from the Barcelona perspective is that it wasn’t the least bit surprising.

The hosts hadn’t beaten Barca since 2014 but their coach on that event, Lucas Alcaraz, was rightly confident that his former club would trouble the Catalans, who arrived in Andalusia on the back of a fortuitous midweek draw at Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League first game of the season.

Barcelona sides with Messi was supposed to be something positive than the result from Granada in the La Liga fixture.

Nigerian Artist Kareem Waris beats 2,723 Competitors to Win Top Taiwanese Award.

The Nigerian 11-year-old hyper-realistic artist, Kareem Waris, has emerged the recipient of Taiwan’s Chou Ta-Kuan Cultural and Educational Foundation‘s “22nd Fervent Global Love of Lives Award”, beating 2,723 other approved candidates around the world.

The Representative of Taiwan in Nigeria, Amb. Vincent Yang made this known in Lagos on Wednesday, according to Punch News.

According to him, Kareem will attend charity events with other laureates, scheduled to hold in Taipei from Sept. 20 to Sept. 28, during which he will meet the Taiwanese President.

He said that Waris Kareem, who had gained global recognition for his unimaginable drawings, stood out among other 2,723 recommended candidates across the world and would meet the Taiwanese President, Tsai Ing-wen, among other laureates.

Yang also added that his office and the Head of Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria had hosted and complimented Kareem on his win.

Waris Kareem gained global fame back in 2018 after he sketched a stunning picture of French President, Emmanuel Macron, on the spot in just two hours, during the President’s visit to Lagos.

Falz nominated for BET Award 2019 as the only Nigerian [FULL LIST].

Falz (the Bahd Guy) who is a Nigerian rapper and actor has been uncovered alongside other international artistes as nominees for the BET Awards 2019.

The Nigerian rapper was nominated in a new category BET started to honour artists from around the world.

Falz battles with artistes from Africa, Europe, and Canada will compete for the new Best International Flow in the 2019 BET award.

This year’s nominee list, which was released Thursday by Billboard sees Cardi B leading the pack with ten nominations, closely followed are DJ Khaled, Travis Scott, and J.Cole with an astonishing eight nominations each.

Drake, who led the 2018 nominations, drops to third most nominations this year with seven nods on the BET 2019 list.

The 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards will air Tuesday (Oct. 8) at 8 pm EST on BET internationally and BET Africa on Oct. 9, 2019.

DMW boss and Famous Nigerian singer, Davido (OBO), on Thursday proposed to his girlfriend, Chioma after introduction week ago.

The DMW boss who had earlier announced his introduction to Chioma revealed this on his official Instagram page.

With the picture of Chioma with a ring on her finger, OBO wrote:

“She said, Yes! Big Rock! Assurance, 2020.”

Recall that the 27-year-old last week Monday concluded an introduction ceremony with his would-be wife’s family in Eastern part of Nigeria.

Davido shared on his social media handles, and the celebrity said 2020 was the anticipated year for the big event, calling on friends and family to get ready for 2020.

AFRIMA 2019 to be Hosted in Lagos, Nigeria.

AFRIMA 2019 committee has announced that the 6th edition of the All Africa Music Awards themed ‘Feel Africa’ will be hosted in Lagos, Nigeria in association with the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Nigeria, from 20 to 23, November 2019.

The African Union Commission (AUC) and the International Committee with the new development, Ghana, which should be the host country for five years, has been dropped for Lagos, Nigeria.

It was gathered that the government was miffed that it eventually expended more than what was budgeted for in 2018.

KingsNaija close source disclosed that the matter might have caused a cabinet to rejig some months ago, which affected Ghana’s former Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister, Catherine Afeku.

AFRIMA Associate Producer, Adenrele Niyi said:

“The 6th AFRIMA finds home in Nigeria for the 2019 awards ceremony, and we could not be more excited for this edition. We are coming out of a super successful 2018 edition in Ghana -the 5th AFRIMA was a milestone year for us.

“These are interesting times for African music as more of our creatives are defying the imaginary limitations of cultural diversity to collaborate and create magical music. Many of these works would be showcased at the awards events such as the AFRIMA Music Village concert and the Main Awards Ceremony.”

The voting process, which closes on November 22, will determine eventual winners in the 36 AFRIMA awards categories to be recognized at the main awards ceremony.

N’golo Kante is set for exit as Chelsea have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Real Madrid over a deal for midfielder, N’Golo Kante, according to a Spanish newspaper.

Chelsea has agreed to let the Spanish La Liga gladiator know if they decide to sell the 2018 France World Cup winner.

Both clubs reached the agreement after the Real Madrid failed to sign N’golo Kante during last summer transfer window following the signing of forward, Eden Hazard from Blues.

Kante has missed Chelsea’s last two Premier League matches due to an ankle injury.

Kante is expected to feature for Frank Lampard’s men this weekend when they take on Wolves in the Premier League.

Nigeria Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, has felicitated President Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) on their triumph at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal on Wednesday, 11th, Sept. 2019.

The Five men panel tribunal on in Abuja dismissed the petition by Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party moreover affirmed the reelection of President Mohamadu Buhari of the All Progressive Party.

Mr. Ahmed Lawan said:

“The judgment of the tribunal has again put a judicial seal on the mandate freely given to the president by the Nigerian people in the February 23 presidential election.”

The Senate President urged the president to take the affirmation of his election “as a hint of the confidence of Nigerians in his capacity to continue to lead Nigeria towards its manifest destiny of greatness.”

He also commended the petitioners for using the judicial window prescribed by the constitution in asking redress for their grievances and urged them to join hands with the government and the Nigerian people in the task of nation-building.

Lawan said the Nigerian people have great expectations from the Next Level Agenda of the President Buhari and further pledged the full collaboration of the National Assembly with the Executive in the pursuit of the best interest of the Nigerian people.
