Miss Universe 2019, ‘Zozibini Tunzi’ Narrates how Her Friend wanted Her to Wear Wig.
The recently crowned Miss Universe 2019 from South Africa, narrates how her friend wanted her to wear Wig to compete in the world’s biggest pageant platform.

According to Zozibini Tunzi:
“A lot of people
did, and it was so strange because even a lot of people I knew, people that
were my friends, we’re like, ‘Sis, we love you, but we’re just saying, maybe
you should put on a wig or buy a weave.’
I was like, “No,
you know what, I’m going to do it the way I am because I’ve been with my
natural hair for the past three years. I don’t see why I should change it just
because I’m stepping into another platform.
In the past, I think
that beauty has been stereotyped to look one particular way. When you open a
magazine, that’s what you see. When you open television, that’s what you see.
And it becomes embedded within society and ourselves.
I’m saying beauty does
not look one particular way. I’m telling women, you can be beautiful too if you
want to. You can stand up and say, ‘I’m beautiful the way that I am, with the
shape that I am, with the skin colour that I have, with the freckles that I have.
Anything that is
considered unusual and unconventional can still be beautiful too.
That’s why I feel so proud about this win, “she narrated.

Heavyweight sportswear designer, Nike has lunch swimsuit for
Muslim sisters to have a full body covered while swimming.
The hijab swimsuit as announced on Tuesday, December 10.
2019 will be available globally at select retailers and online on February 1,
2020.
According to Nike:
“The design of the Nike Victory Swim Collection serves a variety of needs from modesty preferences to sun protection and represents Nike’s commitment to inclusive design, providing more women with game-changing innovation to enjoy sport,” the company said.
The fabric is designed to be lightweight, breathable, and
fast-drying with UPF40+ sun protection, Nike said.
The full-coverage suit is available along with a separate
hijab, tunic top, and swim leggings.
The new swim options follow Nike’s release of a performance
hijab for Muslim women athletes in 2017, which featured a single-layer pull-on
design made from lightweight polyester in dark, neutral colors with tiny holes
that make the fabric breathable and opaque.
Nike said it began developing the hijab after some Muslim athletes complained about wearing a traditional headscarf during competition.
“I was thrilled, and a bit emotional to see Nike prototyping a Hijab,” Emirati figure skater Zahra Lari said in a statement. “I’ve tried so many different hijabs for performance, and … so few of them work for me. But once I put it on and took it for a spin on the ice, I was blown away by the fit and the lightweight.”

Barca Won 1-2 as they faced Inter without Messi in UEFA Champions League.
Barca won their group game against Inter, which saw them off
to the round of 16 after topping their group.
Lionel Messi’s omission from Barcelona’s squad for their
Champions League clash with Inter was influenced by a daunting set of
forthcoming fixtures that includes a potentially crucial Clasico with Real
Madrid.
Ernesto Valverde has rested Messi for Tuesday’s game at the
San Siro, with Barca enjoying the luxury of having already qualified for the
last 16 as Group F winners.
Barca visits fourth-placed Real Sociedad in their next La
Liga match on Saturday before welcoming Madrid to the Camp Nou the following Wednesday
and then hosting Alaves in their final fixture before the mid-season break.
Messi may have picked up his sixth Ballon d’Or but the No.10
set alarm bells ringing when he admitted last week that retirement was
approaching
“I am worried about the day Messi retires,” said Barcelona
president Josep Maria Bartomeu previous week. And, although the club’s leader
has his detractors, this time, he spoke for them too.
Bartomeu also spoke for the football world, anxious to
savour every last moment Lionel Messi has to offer before he eventually decides
to hang up his boots.
The Argentine forward is 32, 33 next June, and naturally, questions are being asked over his longevity. Not because of any wane in his performance levels – Messi collected his sixth Ballon d’Or last Monday – but because time catches up to everyone in the end.
Valverde’s men are level on points with Madrid at the top of
the table as they lead the league on goal difference after winning the title
last campaign.
In the face of repeated questioning about Messi’s absence at
a media conference on Monday, Barcelona boss Valverde pointed to that run of
three games in eight days as the key reason for his decision.
“Messi getting rest. Nothing more,” Valverde said
before the game. “We come from essential games, and we have relevant
matches, and I have decided that some players do not come.
Barca young star,
Fati, became the younger goal scorer in Champions League history after grabbing
the win for the Spanish giant.
Victor Osimhen’s future is uncertain at Lille OSC.
Naija forward’s bright start to life in France has made him
a subject of transfer interests from several clubs across Europe.
Lille OSC manager Christophe Galtier fears Victor Osimhen
might leave the club in January despite penning a five-year deal six months ago
with the Ligue 1 club.
Since his arrival in July, Osimhen has established himself
as one of the highest-scoring players in Ligue 1 this season with nine goals
and three assists in 16 games.
The 20-year-old is reportedly a target for Tottenham Hotspur following the departure of two Lille coaches to join Jose Mourinho’s backroom staff in North London.
When quizzed about the future of the Super Eagles forward,
Galtier said it is not sure, but he hopes he stays with the team until the end
of the season.
When quizzed about the future of the Super Eagles forward,
Galtier said it is not guaranteed, but he hopes he stays with the team until
the end of the season.
According to the Lille Coach:
“Osimhen will stay at LOSC until the end of the season? Yes, I think so, but in Football, nothing is certain,” Galtier told BeIN Sports.
Osimhen has scored two goals in his debut Champions League
campaign, and he will be aiming to help Lille end their disappointing Group H
outings with a win.
Lille is at the bottom of the group with just a point and
will battle Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday in the UEFA Champions League.
